Bring a stunning piece of forest history to your table. Hand-turned from a single block of salvaged ash timber, this expansive bowl showcases the dramatic art of nature. It features high-contrast spalting—intricate, ink-black lines and amber color gradients formed naturally as the wood ages—intertwined with fascinating, winding galleries left by native wood-boring beetles.
Rather than treating these boring details as flaws, they have been carefully preserved, cleaned, and stabilized, creating a mesmerizing, tactile map of the tree's life cycle. With its wide 10.5-inch diameter and elegant 3-inch depth, this low-profile bowl offers a beautiful, open presentation. It acts as an incredible conversation-starting centerpiece, a rustic fruit display, or a unique serving piece for dry goods and snacks.

Care Instructions
Because of the intricate, natural texture of the bore tracks, this bowl appreciates just a little mindful maintenance to stay beautiful for generations:
-
Wash: Hand wash only with warm water and a mild dish soap. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe out any textured areas. Dry immediately with a towel.
-
Avoid: Never submerge or soak the bowl in water, place it in the dishwasher, or use it in the microwave. Note: To make cleanup effortless, we recommend avoiding heavy liquids or wet salad dressings directly inside the textured bore channels.
-
Refresh: When the wood grain begins to look dry or matte, simply wipe down with a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil, let it sit for 15 minutes, and buff off any excess with a clean cloth.
